In Maya de Vesques and Anders Karlsmarks defiXions the borders are pushed to the limit when classical music meets rock/new wave/punk music.
Anders and Maya throw themselves uncompromisingly between rocknroll and opera and like a stream of light Mayas voice cuts through the darkness which Anders creates with his guitar and deep voice.defiXions is two worlds that collide and the expression and the friction between them is the leading star. There is the play and the meeting between the raw expressive rock musician and the finelybalanced classical singer.

Their first album (released november 2012) is co-produced by Grammy awarded Nille Perned (Kent) and the cover is made by the artist Katarina Norling and photographer Emma Karlsmark Elfstrand.

Maya de Vesque has taken part of innumerable classical installations and has toured industriously with Orkester Chesty Morgan.

Anders Karlsmark has a thorough background in the energetical rock music and formed the new wave band Commando M Pigg. He is also working as a producer and composes music for both film and theater.
